The Devil Will Take is a sweeping generational tale of survival, self-acceptance, love, and loss. Told through the lens of rich Cuban culture, religion, and folklore, readers embark upon a dangerous adventure in a world where island magic lives on through the power of its witches.  

This is Alicia's first novel. The inspiration for it came from her Cuban roots, experiences as a first-generation American, heavy research, and an untamed imagination.

The Devil Will Take is the first in an intended series of four. While querying, Alicia is working on the second novel in the series.
